Inaugural Literary Weekend at Wequassett

Treat Yourself to Romance…Novels!

Meet Meredith Goldstein, Boston Globe columnist and author of Love Letters.  Meredith will offer her expertise on relationships and romance and delve into her journey to becoming Boston’s love authority.    Bring your favorite romance novel and share in a book exchange.  Learn the art of love letter calligraphy.  The weekend will include welcome cocktail and light bites, literary lunch with guest authors, private dinner, and book signings.  Chatham’s Where The Sidewalk Ends bookshop will keep us all well read and up to date on all of our romance novel needs.  Escape into another world and get away with us!

Meredith Goldstein

Our Moderator: Meredith Goldstein

Meredith Goldstein is an author, journalist, and the longtime advice columnist at The Boston Globe. Her books include the young adult novels Things That Grow and Chemistry Lessons; the novel The Singles; and the memoir Can’t Help Myself: Lessons and Confessions from a Modern Advice Columnist, based on her Love Letters column, which also has a popular podcast (now in its eighth season!). Meredith lives in Boston with a carnival-size cotton candy machine and a lot of romance novels.

 

Kristan Higgins

Kristan Higgins is the New York Times, USA TODAY and Publishers Weekly bestselling author of more than twenty novels, which have been translated into more than two dozen languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide. Her books have received dozens of awards and accolades, including starred reviews from Entertainment Weekly, People, Kirkus, The New York Journal of Books, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and Booklist.

Lucy keating

Lucy Keating is the author of three young adult novels, most recently RIDE WITH ME, which was published by HarperCollins in June 2022. In her work she enjoys exploring coming-of-age themes and big romantic tropes. What if you met the boy of your actual dreams? What if you turned out to be a character in someone else’s book? She is a graduate of Williams College and The Cuttyhunk Island Writer’s Residency. Keating lives in Somerville, Massachusetts, with her husband, senior dog, and baby boy. When she’s not writing, she enjoys baking, heading off on a weekend adventure, and obsessing over the latest TV shows.

Friday, February 24

  • 4pm Welcome Reception in Private Dining Room with Cocktails and Light Bites.  Meet Meredith Goldstein and bring your favorite Romance Novel to exchange!

Saturday, February 25

  • Enjoy a quiet morning to yourself.  There will be a delicious continental breakfast available for you to partake in twenty-eight Atlantic.
  • 12pm Literary Lunch with moderator, Meredith Goldstein and guest authors, Kristan Higgins and Lucy Keating.  If you would like to attend the lunch only, please use this link to purchase your ticket here.
  • 4:30pm Conversation with Meredith!  Discuss her column, her books, get advice and Q&A.
  • 6pm Delectable dinner brought to you with love from the culinary team.
