The Massachusetts Oyster Project
Supporting Cape Cod's Marine Ecosystem
Oysters are among nature’s most effective water filters, playing an essential role in maintaining healthy coastal ecosystems. Through our partnership with the Massachusetts Oyster Project, Wequassett proudly recycles oyster shells from our restaurants to help restore local oyster reefs.
After each shell is collected and properly cured, it is returned to Cape Cod waters, where it provides the ideal surface for young oysters to attach and grow. These restored reefs improve water quality, create habitat for marine life, and strengthen the health of our coastal waterways.
Every oyster enjoyed at Wequassett contributes to a larger effort to preserve Cape Cod’s marine environment.
A.R.C. Hatchery Partnership

Every Thursday throughout the summer, Supper on the Bay celebrates the connection between Cape Cod’s waters and its culinary traditions.
Presented in partnership with the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance, each dinner showcases a different locally harvested fish species, highlighting responsibly sourced seafood while introducing guests to the people who bring it to shore. Throughout the evening, a local fisherman shares stories from life on the water, discusses sustainable fishing practices, and answers guests’ questions about the featured catch.
