Community Impact and Charitable Donations

Wequassett's Commitment

As part of our philanthropic effort, Wequassett is dedicated to creating meaningful change to enrich the community in which we live and serve.   The focus of our support is to benefit education, conservation, and workforce vibrancy.  To aid this endeavor, guests will be charged a community impact fee of 1% per night and 100% of the fees collected will be passed directly to local organizations and causes for their roles in creating purposeful positive change in the local community.  Please note that the fee is optional and can be waived and that the monies will never go toward hotel operations or expenses.

We are grateful for your support.  It was voted on and determined by Wequassett’s team to dedicate the funds raised in 2025 to the following organizations:

Homeless Prevention Council,

Pleasant Bay Boating Community,

Heros in Transition,

Sharing Kindness,

Cape Kid Meals.

We also included the Family Pantry of Cape Cod and the Cape Symphony in the 2025 charitable efforts.

Join us and have an impactful stay!

Pet Fee Donation too!

In addition to our Community Impact initiatives, we have welcomed dogs!  Travel is better with your furry companion and that’s why we’re thrilled to welcome guests and their pets in 2023. Dogs will be treated as VIPs with plush beds, toys, and treats. Our doggie concierge will arrange for play dates and grooming services.  A portion of the daily pet fee will be donated to the Animal Rescue League – Brewster Shelter.

Past Community Impact Recipients

This program has been very successful and Wequassett was able to make generous donations to each of these wonderful groups.  Please take a moment to learn more about each of these organizations: Lighthouse Charter School, WE CAN, and Harwich Conservation Trust.  In its second year the resort was able to support a new group of charities including:  The Family Pantry, The Center for Coastal Studies, Outer Cape Health Services and the Harwich Children’s Fund.

We understand that many non-profit organizations rely on in-kind donations to support their fund-raising events, silent auctions and raffles.   In response, we are pleased to provide gift certificates to those organizations that align with our commitment to the local community.  Preference will be given to children and youth, education and literacy, hunger prevention, environmental preservation and conservation and small arts organizations.  Kindly submit the form below for consideration.
