Explore Pleasant Bay Aboard "The Friend"

Climb aboard one of the world’s only solar-powered marine vessels for a one-of-a-kind educational adventure on The Friend.

This 37-foot, pontoon boat offers a comfortable, quiet cruise with near-silent engines—perfect for observing the wildlife of Pleasant Bay. A naturalist is onboard to bring the journey to life with captivating stories and insights—and to lead hands-on moments to explore the ecosystem up close, from examining shells and sea life to learning about the bay’s unique habitats.

Designed for all ages and abilities, this engaging “edu-tainment” experience blends relaxation with discovery and is ideal for nature lovers, families, and curious minds alike.

Pleasant Bay Community Boating is a nonprofit organization committed to providing boating, marine education, and environmental stewardship opportunities for residents and visitors. They proudly serve the entire community, including individuals with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities, as well as under-resourced families and at-risk youth.  Wequassett is honored to partner with Pleasant Bay Community Boating in support of this meaningful mission, and to help create memorable, transformative experiences for all participants.
