Join us as we welcome acclaimed author, Mattie Kahn, to celebrate her upcoming book, Young and Restless. Known for her dedication to covering women’s issues and politics, Mattie has been featured in a variety of publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Vox, and more. Formerly, she was the culture director at Glamour and a staff editor at Elle. Launching on June 13th, Young and Restless, which has been listed as one of Vogue’s Most Anticipated Books of 2023, details the stories of women who helped spark America’s most transformative social movement.
The weekend will begin on Friday, July 7th, when Mattie will host an intimate writing workshop sharing her expertise, and tips & tricks. Following the workshop, guests are invited to mingle with Mattie and enjoy crafted cocktails. On Saturday July 8th, Mattie will be joined by author Jessica Goodman for a moderated Literary Luncheon in partnership with Where The Sidewalk Ends, Chatham’s local bookshop.
Mattie Kahn is based in New York City and has special ties to our corner of the world, spending summers on Cape Cod and graduating from Harvard University.
Jessica Goodman is the New York Times bestselling author of young adult thrillers They Wish They Were Us, They’ll Never Catch Us, The Counselors, and The Legacies. She is the former op-ed editor at Cosmopolitan magazine and was part of the 2017 team that won a National Magazine Award in personal service. She has also held editorial positions at Entertainment Weekly and HuffPost, and her work has been published in outlets like Glamour, Condé Nast Traveler, The Cut, Elle, Bustle, and Marie Claire.
