Celebrate Christmas on Cape Cod

Step into Wequassett’s outdoor Merry Market, where local shops and handcrafted treasures make holiday shopping feel a little more festive. Set on Pleasant Bay in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, the annual market brings together local vendors, seasonal décor, festive food and drinks, and the atmosphere of a classic New England Christmas.

Browse for locally made gifts, pause for a seasonal brew from Hog Island Brewery, enjoy bites from Red River BBQ, and take in the lights and decorations throughout the resort. Stay into the evening as the celebrations continue with a spectacular fireworks display over Pleasant Bay.

Whether you’re searching for Christmas events on Cape Cod, a festive Christmas market in Massachusetts, or simply another reason to visit the Cape during the holidays, the Merry Market brings it all together in one waterfront setting.

A small band performs on a covered patio during the Merry Market while diners sit at tables with blue checkered tablecloths, eating and conversing.

Pause for a cozy lunch or dinner at Thoreau’s, or enjoy lite bites and live entertainment at the Outer Bar. Little ones (and the young at heart) can visit the magical Mrs. Claus Cottage to share their wish lists with Santa from 3 to 5 PM. As the evening unfolds, gather on the Grand Lawn or at the Outer Bar to marvel at sparkling holiday fireworks illuminating the sky.

From the first stroll through our twinkling gardens to the final sparkle of holiday fireworks, the day at Wequassett is brimming with festive magic.
