Wequassett has three beautiful Har-Tru tennis courts as well as three Har-Tru pickleball courts.  You’ll have the opportunity to participate in our clinics (see schedule below) or schedule a private lesson with our director or staff professionals. Courts are also available for booking social play.

Our raised viewing terrace and outdoor dining space makes the tennis and pickleball courts a perfect location for a competitive match or laid-back party.

Adult Clinics

Director Rob Parker and his team offer a well-rounded selection of summer clinics designed for players of all levels—from beginners to advanced competitors. These sessions provide a blend of skill development, strategy, and enjoyable social interaction.

Players can choose from various specialized clinics tailored to different skill levels and interests.  Whether you’re seeking skill development, great workouts, or a vibrant social scene, Wequassett’s adult tennis clinics provide something for every player.

Weekly Adult Summer Clinic Schedule

Junior Clinics

Wequassett’s junior tennis program offers a fun, skill-building experience for young players of all ages and levels. Designed to foster a love for the game while developing strong fundamentals, the program features a variety of engaging clinics and camps throughout the summer.

For the youngest participants, clinics focus on introducing basic racquet skills, hand-eye coordination, and movement through playful drills and games. As players grow, instruction emphasizes proper technique, footwork, and fundamentals, all taught through engaging, game-based activities that make learning enjoyable and effective.  Older juniors ready to advance further can participate in more intensive Junior Team Camp that include stroke development, court positioning, strategy, and match play—perfect for those looking to sharpen their game in a more competitive setting.

Weekly Junior Summer Clinic Schedule

Mini Mites – ages 4 – 6 – Join us for a fun and interactive Red Ball Tennis Clinic designed for beginners! This clinic is perfect for those new to tennis or looking to refine their basic skills. Participants will focus on:

  • Basic Racquet Skills: Learn the fundamentals of grip, swing, and technique.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination Drills: Improve your control and timing through fun drills.
  • Games & Activities: Enjoy engaging in tennis games that make learning enjoyable and exciting.

      Cost: $35 per participant

Future Stars Camp – ages 7-10 – Our Developmental Tennis Program is designed to teach essential tennis skills and mechanics in a fun and engaging way. Perfect for players looking to improve their game, this program focuses on:

  • Strong Fundamental Skills: Master the core techniques for effective tennis play, from strokes to footwork.
  • Mechanics: Build proper form for consistency and efficiency in every shot.
  • Game-Based Curriculum: Learn through exciting, interactive drills and games that make practice enjoyable.

     Cost: $80 per participant

Wequassett Junior Team Camp – This 3-Day Tennis Camp is designed for players ages 11 and up (low intermediate level and above) who are looking to take their game to the next level. This camp is ideal for players who want to grow in all aspects of the game and are looking for an opportunity to sharpen their skills in a competitive environment. The camp focuses on:

  • Solid Fundamentals: Refine your strokes, serves, and overall technique to play with consistency and control.
  • Footwork: Develop quick, efficient movement on the court to improve positioning and reaction time.
  • Strategy: Learn key tactics for outsmarting your opponent, including shot selection and court positioning.
  • Competition Component: Put your skills to the test with match play and competitive drills, designed to prepare you for tournament play.

     Cost: $250 per participant

Director of Racquet Sports

Rob Parker

With over 25 years of experience in the tennis industry, Rob is a highly accomplished Director of Tennis and Head Professional, known for his leadership, expertise, and commitment to delivering exceptional guest and member experiences. Formerly serving as the Director of Tennis at the prestigious Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, MA, Rob was responsible for all aspects of tennis programming at Cape Cod’s premier resort. Since 2020, he has designed and implemented a diverse range of programs, including private instruction, clinics, social events, and tournaments for both adults and juniors, while also managing staff, budgeting, and inventory for the Inn’s tennis shop.

Prior to his role at Chatham Bars Inn, Rob was the Director of Racquet Sports at the Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI, from 2013 to 2019, where he was responsible for developing and overseeing both tennis and platform tennis programs. He also managed the club’s racquet sports staff, budgets, and marketing efforts, ensuring top-tier experience for the club’s membership.

 

Earlier in his career, Rob served as the Director of Tennis at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton, CT, from 1999 to 2006, where he led a comprehensive tennis program and was instrumental in the renovation of the club’s tennis facilities. Rob’s experience also includes serving as a Staff Professional at the Four Seasons Racquet Club in Wilton, CT, and as Head Coach of Varsity Boys’ Tennis at Weston High School, where his team achieved remarkable success with a 68-5 record and multiple state and conference championships.

Rob holds several prestigious certifications, including RSPA Elite Professional, PTR Certified Professional, PPTA Certified Professional, and USRSA Certified Stringer. He is also a valued member of the Wilson Advisory Staff. Known for his dedication to excellence, Rob consistently strives to create an environment where players of all levels can thrive, while upholding the highest standards of professional service.

Assistant Director of Racquet Sports

Sandy Palmer

Sandy Palmer, a seasoned tennis professional, has recently relocated to Cape Cod. She also works as a Tennis Professional in the winter months at the Mid Cape Athletic Club.

Her previous role as the Junior Development Director at Woburn Racquet Club spanned 16 years. Additionally, she served as the Assistant Tennis Coach for the Wakefield High School Boys Varsity team for 6 years. Sandy’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident in her creation and management of the highly successful Wakefield Recreation Tennis Program, which she grew from the ground up and ran for 12 years.

 

Sandy played varsity tennis at Franklin Pierce College, where she was captain for 3 out of her 4 years on the team. Her dedication to the sport is evident in her impressive competitive achievements, including being a 4.5 USTA League Player and Champion, as well as claiming victory at the USTA New England Clay Court Slam and the 2023 Harwich Pickleball Funfest. Her professional certifications include PTR and PPR, underscoring her expertise and passion for tennis and pickleball.
