In Cape Cod restaurant news this week, eateries and markets were preparing to open for spring even as Mother Nature was busy burying the region under a two-foot blanket of snow.
Nonetheless, Lo Adoro Italian Market will celebrate six years in business on Saturday, and Seafood Sam’s will open its two Upper Cape restaurants on March 1, an event which the seasonal fried fish spot has been celebrating with Facebook videos for more than a month.
Also this week, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club executive chef James Hackney welcomes back visiting chef Aiden McGee for a Feb. 28 tasting dinner. Only 5:30 p.m. reservations remain for the $144 dinner which will showcase McGee, chef patron of The Dubliner Boston, and his work to “change the perception of Irish food in America by marrying Irish culinary traditions with the exceptional products of New England.”
