twenty-eight Atlantic is our signature restaurant and enjoys the highest ratings on Cape Cod as the first and only Forbes Five-Star restaurant in the region.

Housed in an 18th-century sea captain’s home overlooking Pleasant Bay and the Atlantic beyond, this is one of the most stunning settings in New England. Experience a coastal menu with organic presentations and flavors from noted Executive Chef James Hackney, complemented by an award-winning wine list. Chef Hackney creates a culinary experience that elevates dining to new heights. The fine dining menu is accompanied by a light and airy atmosphere, with floor-to-ceiling windows that immerse guests in the ocean view.

This season twenty-eight Atlantic will feature a two-course and four-course prix fixe menu featuring Chef’s selection of dishes as well as a seven-course tasting menu with an amuse bouche, an oyster course, bread course, a selection of starters, a palate cleanser, a selection of main courses and petit fours.

Experience: 15 years

Executive Chef James Hackney has helmed the culinary team at Wequassett for the past decade. He is credited with elevating the status of twenty-eight Atlantic to its coveted Forbes Five-Star status. Originally from Leicestershire, England, Hackney was inspired to begin a career in the culinary world by working at his parents’ Garden Hotel, a quaint inn residing in the English countryside. Prior to Wequassett, Chef Hackney served as Chef de Cuisine at Boston’s legendary L’Espalier and other notable restaurants such as Blantyre in Lenox, Massachusetts and Charlie Palmer’s Aquaterra in Palm Beach, Florida.
