As autumn drifts into the holiday season, Wequassett transforms into Cape Cod’s most enchanting escape — a coastal retreat brimming with culinary celebrations, cozy experiences, and festive gatherings. From fireside cocktails to holiday feasts, wellness weekends to creative workshops, every moment is designed to bring joy and connection in the final months of the year.

December 5th & 6th

Ring in the Season with Sparkle & Fireworks

The first weekend of December marks the start of the holiday season at Wequassett, filled with festive experiences and joyful traditions. Step into the magic of the Mrs. Claus Cottage and join our Gingerbread House Parties, where families can create sweet holiday memories together. On Friday, December 5th, the season officially begins with our annual Tree Lighting ceremony honoring our Community Impact Fund recipients and celebrating the spirit of giving back. The festivities continue on Saturday with the third annual Merry Market, spread across the property with local artisans, live entertainment at the Outer Bar, and delicious offerings from the Red River food truck and Hog Island with seasonal brews. Guests can also enjoy food and drink at the Outer Bar or opt for a more formal dining experience at Thoreau’s or twenty-eight Atlantic. The night concludes with a spectacular Fireworks display over Pleasant Bay, kicking off the holiday season in sparkling style.

Gingerbread House Parties

Dive headfirst into a whirlwind of frosting, sprinkles, and pure imagination. Imagine a land where gumdrops are trees, licorice are fences, and windows are made of sparkling sugar crystals. Join our gingerbread house parties and challenge your creativity, spend time with the family, and sip on some hot cocoa. Festive cocktails will also be served as well as a buffet for the little ones.
