For the first time, twenty-eight Atlantic will welcome guests throughout November and December, extending Cape Cod’s most celebrated dining experience into the winter months. Executive Chef James Hackney’s seasonal à la carte menu offers a thoughtful balance of elevated coastal cuisine and comforting seasonal flavors, each dish crafted to delight and inspire.

Wequassett and Cape Symphony Presents are redefining winter on the Cape—a collaboration where world-class music, five-star dining, and undeniable style converge. Thursday evenings feature the Listening Lounge, where warm vinyl tones, live DJ sets, and curated soundscapes fill the dining room with a mood that’s equal parts intimacy and edge. Friday and Saturday nights come alive with Cape Symphony Presents’ most captivating artists, perfectly paired with the same inspired seasonal fare.

Experience: 15 years

Executive Chef James Hackney has helmed the culinary team at Wequassett for the past decade. He is credited with elevating the status of twenty-eight Atlantic to its coveted Forbes Five-Star status. Originally from Leicestershire, England, Hackney was inspired to begin a career in the culinary world by working at his parents’ Garden Hotel, a quaint inn residing in the English countryside. Prior to Wequassett, Chef Hackney served as Chef de Cuisine at Boston’s legendary L’Espalier and other notable restaurants such as Blantyre in Lenox, Massachusetts and Charlie Palmer’s Aquaterra in Palm Beach, Florida.
