With music, we dream without words and soar to new heights — experience these moments and more at the 22nd Annual Cape Cod Jazz & Arts Festival, only at Wequassett.

The public is warmly welcomed to join us for live music, drinks, and dinner overlooking Pleasant Bay. Doors open at 8 p.m. for cocktails and music.

Livingston Taylor

Livingston Taylor’s career as a professional musician has spanned over 50 years, encompassing performance, songwriting, and teaching. Described as “equal parts Mark Twain, college professor, and musical icon, Livingston maintains a performance schedule of more than a hundred shows a year, delighting audiences with his charm and vast repertoire of his 22 albums and popular classics. 

Livingston has written top-40 hits recorded by his brother James Taylor and has appeared with Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, and Jimmy Buffet. He is equally at home with a range of musical genres – folk, pop, gospel, jazz – and from upbeat storytelling and touching ballads to full orchestra performances. In addition to his performance schedule, Livingston has taught stage performance for over 30 years, beginning at Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1989, passing on the extensive knowledge gained from his long career on the road to the next generation of musicians. Liv is an airplane-flying, motorcycle-riding, singing storyteller, delighting audiences with his charm for over 50 years.

Funktapuss

Funktapuss is a groove factory that has toured the United States, churning out funk, soul, and R&B classics by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, Bruno Mars, James Brown, and many more.  It’s no secret that Funktapuss keeps the dance floor full all night long, from bars, to parties, to festivals. Start with soulful vocals, add a slamming rhythm section, and throw in the Full Force Horns…and you’ve got yourself a party.

Marc Cohn & Shawn Colvin

After winning a Grammy for his soulful ballad “Walking in Memphis,” Marc Cohn solidified his place as one of this generation’s most compelling singer-songwriters, combining the precision of a brilliant tunesmith with the passion of a great soul man. Rooted in the rich ground of American rhythm and blues, soul and gospel and possessed of a deft storyteller’s pen, he weaves vivid, detailed, often drawn-from-life tales that evoke some of our most universal human feelings: love, hope, faith, joy, heartbreak.

Three-time GRAMMY Award winner Shawn Colvin has been a vital voice in music for over 30 years, releasing thirteen superlative albums and establishing herself as one of America’s most revered songwriters and performers. Colvin was recognized for her career accomplishments in 2016 when she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Trailblazer Award by the Americana Music Association. In September 2019 she was inducted into the 2019 Austin City Limits Hall of Fame, alongside legendary artists Lyle Lovett and Buddy Guy. Shawn  continues to tour globally, while working on an album of new music.

Ray Greene and the All-Star Band

The Cape Cod Jazz & Arts Festival is thrilled to welcome back singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Ray Greene, who has been busy this year touring Europe and the US with multi–Grammy Award winning iconic artist, Santana. Brought up in the shadows of the great R&B/Soul legends of our time, and equally adept at the traditions of Gospel, Jazz and Blues.

 

Ray has performed with some of the biggest names in the fields of Pop and R&B including Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Rick James, and Tower of Power, and most recently was tapped by Carlos Santana to be his new lead singer. Joining Ray will be the All-Star Band, comprised of New England’s most in-demand and top call musicians.

July 29

Sarah Swain & the Oh Boys

Sarah Swain & the Oh Boys features Sarah on guitar and vocals, Mark Usher on lead guitar, Ron Siegel on upright bass and Liam Hogg on drums. A mix of Sarah’s original compositions, some rockabilly roots classics, as well as some lost garage rock nuggets, it’s rockabilly with a splash of soul…with a vibrant energy that’s downright contagious. 

 

Over the past 15 years Sarah has traveled across the US and UK playing her original music while continuing to be a mainstay on the Cape Cod music scene. The band is celebrating their 17th-year anniversary playing together this summer! Sarah is also the founder of a local non-profit, Cape Wellness Collaborative, which provides integrative therapies to people facing cancer, and is also the founder of Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival.

The Cape Connection

Under the leadership of drummer and Berklee College of Music graduate Brad Conant, The Cape Connection is comprised of Cape Cod’s very best talent. Known for their diverse catalog of upbeat dance music, this is a true super group of world class musicians! 

Natalia Bonfini, a top 50 finalist on American Idol’s 20th season, has performed alongside national acts like fellow idol winners David Cook and Crystal Bowersox, Grammy nominee Allen Stone, Blues Legend Joe Louis Walker, and the boss himself Bruce Springsteen. Vocalist Seth Silva excels as The Cape Connection front man by pulling the crowd in with his amazing showmanship and soulful sounding voice reminiscent of some of Motown’s favorites. Bring your dance shoes for a night of exciting and energetic music performed by one of Cape Cod’s best new party bands!

Grace Kelly

Internationally acclaimed saxophonist, vocalist, and composer Grace Kelly returns to the Cape Cod Jazz Festival, a stage she has graced annually since the age of 18. With 15 albums and over 1,500 global concerts under her belt, Grace has evolved into a powerhouse in the genre, recognized as a seven-time DownBeat Critics Poll winner and a former member of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert house band.

A Yamaha Artist and the youngest member of the Berklee College of Music Board of Trustees, her “Gracified” sound seamlessly blends jazz virtuosity with soulful vocals and infectious energy. From the Hollywood Bowl to the Boston Pops, Grace’s electrifying performances fuse jazz, funk, and pop into a signature experience that has made her a beloved fixture of the Cape Cod summer season.

Radio Recall

The All Nighters featuring Jermaine Paul

New England’s premier Dance/Party band, The Allnighters are cosmopolitan, sophisticated and energetic, with a deep musical repertoire ranging from R&B, pop and soul, to classic rock and Top 40. When it comes to laying down a groove…nobody does it better!

Under the direction of keyboardist Bob Talalla, the band features vocalist extraordinaire and two-time Grammy Nominated artist, Jermaine Paul, whose credits include winner of NBC’s hit TV show The Voice Season 2, and former back-up singer with Alicia Keys.
