Food Network legend Carla Hall is coming to Wequassett! Experience the Cape Cod Holiday Baking Classic Cookie Competition and a dinner of soul food with the star.

Cape Cod Holiday Baking Classic

The Cape Cod Holiday Baking Classic will be hosted by acclaimed chef, author and Food Network personality, Carla Hall, who will also serve as head “Chef-eree” alongside a team of hungry judges in tasting every entry to find New England’s best holiday cookies. From sugar cookies and gingerbread men, to nut rolls and thumbprints, no crumb will go un-tasted!  Bakers who earn top honors will have the opportunity to take home a selection of prizes, in addition to a virtual baking class with Carla Hall at a later date.  Additionally, one winning cookie creation will be featured on the menu at The Sill, Wequassett’s cozy grab & go bakery and coffee counter.

You can be a part of the fun too!  Come sample the cookies, decorate one for yourself and have a chance to see Carla Hall entertain the audience during the event.  Cookie-lovers from all over can enjoy an afternoon of delicious holiday magic in support of two exceptional organizations – Community Servings and Outer Cape Health Services. We share the same vision in working toward a world in which nutritious food is a fundamental right that every person has access to.  The Inaugural Cape Cod Holiday Baking Classic is presented by Maxi-Cosi.

Food Network Superstar

Carla Hall

Carla Hall first won over audiences when she competed on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and “Top Chef: All Stars” and shared her philosophy to always cook with love. She is a trained chef who has worked in several professional restaurant kitchens in and around the Washington, D.C. area and believes food connects us all, a belief she strives to convey through her work, her cooking, and in her daily interactions with others.

Carla spent 7 years co-hosting ABC’s Emmy award winning, popular lifestyle series “The Chew”, and is currently featured on the Food Network as a judge on competition shows such as “Summer, Thanksgiving, Holiday and Halloween Baking Championships”. Her latest cookbook, Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration, was published in 2018, landing on annual “Best Cookbook” lists across the country and receiving an NAACP Image Awards nomination. Hall has also published a children’s book, Carla and the Christmas Cornbread (2021), a heartwarming tale loosely based on Hall’s childhood growing up in Nashville, TN. @carlaphall
