On Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, Wequassett Resort and Golf Club teams up with the Crown & Anchor to celebrate year two of  “Out on the Bay,” a Pride-month event that aims to celebrate inclusivity, diversity, and awareness throughout the greater Cape Cod destination.

Out on the Bay will take place from 2 pm – 6 pm at the Outer Bar, a waterfront dining destination with close proximity to Wequassett’s main pool, where guests can mix and mingle while overlooking Pleasant Bay and will benefit the Crown & Anchor’s new Prouder Together initiative. Created to both stabilize and empower a community’s ability to celebrate Pride and demonstrate the strength in solidarity and collaboration within and across the LGBTQ+ community, Wequassett is proud to join forces to uplift and celebrate queer arts, artists, and performers while benefiting Cape Cod Playhouse.

Guests can sip and shop at the pop-up queer-makers market showcasing several LGBTQ-owned local businesses and allies, including  PFLAG Cape Cod, Anchor2Anchor, Sniffs of Adventure, Roots & Rhythm, and more. Provincetown Brewing Co. will also be on-site with a pop-up beer garden featuring a selection of some of their most popular brews.

Stars from Cape Cod Playhouse’s much-anticipated production of Tick, Tick…Boom! is set to make an extra special appearance. While the semi-autobiographical musical production is scheduled for June 5th through June 15th, Andy Mientus (of Spring Awakening), Krystina Ababado and Larry Owens (of A Strange Loop & Abbott Elementary) will make Wequassett an additional destination as they perform their own hit songs and tunes from the show as directed by the production’s music director,  Andy Roninson.
