One of Only 83 Hotels in the United States Awarded Forbes Five Star Ranking
Wequssett Resort and Golf Club was honored this past week with its fifth start, for the third year in a row from Forbes Travel Guide. Wequassett Resort’s five-star distinction is one of our most meaningful accolades. Forbes Travel Guide is the leader in verifying luxury, and we are proud that Wequassett has been named the only five-star resort on Cape Cod.
What Does a Five Star Rating Mean?
With so many online sites that boast reviews and star ratings, it can be very confusing. Many of these sites are opinion-based and/or achieved with investment. The ratings on these sites can be very easily skewed based on circumstances. Forbes Travel Guide’s star rating is based on actual guest experience and measurable standards.
Forbes Travel Guide and their highly trained inspectors visit every property that they rate, evaluating up to 900 objective criteria. The hotel stays span a minimum of two nights. They pay their own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through their objective inspection process. Their global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest. While they inspect both service and facility, Forbes Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
As a hotelier, we love receiving our inspection reports! After each inspection, the resort receives a full report outlining every stop of their stay. They don’t leave out one employee name, conversation, or experience. It has become a valuable tool that Wequassett uses to train and learn from. And even after you have achieved the title of five-star resort, they continue to evaluate you every year. You don’t have the chance to take a rest from providing superior five-star service because they are always watching.
This past year Wequassett scored 94.21% by Forbes Travel Guide! It was our highest score and we couldn’t have been more proud of the team. Wequassett employees are the true stars. Each and every day they work with a smile on their face, providing a five star level of service to our guests.

Time to Celebrate
Wequassett was lucky enough to be able to celebrate with the other five-star hotels this past week in Beverly Hills. Forbes Travel Guide hosted a party to end all parties with celebrities including Sharon Stone, Cindy Crawford, and Quincy Jones. It was a magical night celebrating our five-star resort achievement and sharing stories.
